A very wise man once told me, ” The only way to measure your self-pride is through your dreams.” I know it may not look resonable to you, but give your mind a chance to digest it. Give it some thought and you will find out how deep this statement is… Really our dreams, including the spiritual ones, reflect our self-pride. I think that is why humble and modest people, of course the real ones not the fake ones, are always happy. They have simple dreams, they are satisfied with what they have… They are even free to let it go, if these dreams don’t come true… Now I started to understand why the church talks a lot about modesty and meekness… I think they are the real way of happiness and freedom….

U know what, u became a very church person those days, or maybe it is me who is going away.
interesting though and certaily holds a lot of truth in it .. but we must devide between dreams of pride and other dreams of ambition. dreaming to be the absoulute ruler of earth is a dream of pride. but dreaming of having the whole knowledge of the universe is oe of ambition.
the first one is bad, but the second is good.
We are from God, we have a yearning to the absolute. we should and must dream of this absolute. it is not a bad thing and if i should choose between a dreamless happy life and a dreamful unhappy life I would chose the second.
and what is so wrong with unhappiness that we are trying to avoid so much ??

Interesting Miena and Shiro gives a new side for it. May be u r a little idealistic ya shiro, or may be it’s me who is more realistic.
Allow me, I don’t agree because it’s an over ambitious which yield for dreaming of being Gods. WE ARE HUMANS and will NEVER BE GODS.
Why? Don’t tell me we’re from God. We are humans which is (very) different than Gods in every prespective. Why can’t we see and accept that we are weak, limited and ruled by the universe laws.
I’ll choose a dreamless happy life.
The wrong with unhappiness is unhappiness, simply.
